The monthly report

A month of reviews, read for you

Nobody running a kitchen has time to read forty reviews and work out what they add up to. This is a real example: what goes in, and the one page that comes out.

Yours arrives on the first of the month, by text and by email, with your name on it and your numbers in it. This one is The Olive Table, a restaurant we made up, so you can check every count against the reviews underneath it.

What goes in: one month at The Olive Table

★★★★★Marcus T.Best margherita I have had outside Naples. Crust blistered and light. Marco came over to check on us.
★★★★★Priya S.Third time this month. The sourdough base is the difference. Always warm in here.
★★★★Dan R.Great pizza, cosy room. Got very loud when it filled up around eight on Friday.
★★★Helen W.Pizza was lovely but we waited thirty five minutes on a quiet Tuesday. Slow kitchen.
★★★★★Aisha M.The vegan special is genuinely good, not an afterthought. The cashew base actually works.
★★Jordan K.Waited over forty minutes on a Friday and the order came out wrong. Staff apologised at least.
★★★★★Tom B.Marco remembered our anniversary from last year. Small place, big heart.
★★★★Sara L.Pepperoni was excellent. Only gripe is there is nowhere to park before six.
★★★★★Nina P.The garlic bread is dangerous. We ordered three.
AnonWaited fifty minutes on a Saturday and the food arrived cold. Nobody apologised.
★★★★★Greg H.Takeout was ready when they said it would be. The margherita travels well.
★★★★Ruby C.Lovely vegan option. Room is small so book ahead at weekends.
★★★★★Ollie D.Marco is the reason we keep coming back. The pizza is great too.
★★★Kate F.Food good, wait long on a Friday night. Forty minutes for two pizzas.

What comes out

The Olive Table

July 2026
14reviews
4.0★average
104 and 5 star
43 star or below

Fourteen reviews, all fourteen answered. Averaging four stars, and ten of them were four or five. The one thing holding you back is the wait. Four people mentioned it, and three of those four were on a Friday or a Saturday night. Everything else people wrote about was good.

What we did, and what it kept

  • 14 replies written. 12 postedTwo were held for your OK. You approved both, one the same evening and one the next morning.
  • 4 posts published. Instagram + GoogleThe Friday vegan special was the one people saved.
  • 19 pickup orders came in by text. $742That is the money that went through your own counter this month rather than an app's. No commission came out of it.
  • 37 people opened your ordering page. 12 from GoogleYou do not have a website, so all 37 landed on the page we host for you.

We are not going to turn that $742 into a saving for you. Some of those diners would have walked in anyway, and nobody can tell you which ones. What is true is that no app took a cut of any of it.

Worth a look this month

  1. Count how many pizzas come out of the oven between seven and nine on a Friday. Three of the four complaints were at that hour, and none of them were about the food itself.
  2. Put the parking on your website and in the chat, so people know before they set off rather than after. It came up once and it is the smallest thing on this list.
  3. Tell Marco. He was named in three separate five star reviews and he probably does not know.

Based on 14 reviews in this period. Counts are exact. The themes are read from what people wrote, and nothing here is guessed.

Three rules this report follows

Every number is countable

The reviews it was built from are in the box above. If it says four people mentioned waiting, you can find those four. Nothing is rounded up to sound more useful.

Patterns, not just topics

"People mentioned waiting" is not worth reading. "Three of the four were Friday or Saturday evening" tells an owner where to stand next week.

No promises about your rating

It will never tell you a score is about to go up. Nobody can know that, and any tool that says otherwise is guessing at your expense.
